Black Flame: a warm welcome & a taste of home

THERE are some traditions we easily forget about when we move to Spain, while others are harder to let go of… like Sunday lunch. But there’s no need to give up this fantastic British tradition… or fish and chips… or apple crumble and custard!

If you are hungry when you arrive at Black Flame (make sure you book, they’re always busy), you won’t be when you leave. This family friendly British themed restaurant, with its pretty garden, cosy interior and rooftop cocktail bar for summer nights, serves large portions of consistently good quality, wellcooked food. Whether you’ve come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or some live music and drinks and a bite to eat on Friday night (from 7.30), the cheerful, chatty servers will greet you with a smile. You will find them extremely accommodating and the service is great. They even accept large groups if you book ahead of time.
Why not select a bottle of something nice from the short but pleasant wine list, or treat yourself to a cocktail from a long list of tempting creations while you decide what to eat?

Black Flame is famous for its carvery on Thursdays and Sundays, with two courses (starter or dessert) for €12.95 and three courses, with both starter and dessert, for

€15.95. You will be called to the hot buffet, where your roast meat (pork and/or beef) will be served. Now you can help yourself to all those Sunday treats you’ve been missing, like Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roast potatoes, mash, roast parsnips, green veggies and lashings of gravy, and, of course, horseradish, mustard, and apple sauce galore.
Fancy an English breakfast? Well, as the name suggests, Black Flame’s signature ‘Greedy Boy Breakfast’ features three eggs, three rashers of bacon, three sausages, three slices of toast, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns for just €9.95. However, if you can’t cope with all that, you can order the items you fancy separately.

The alacarte menu features many traditional favourites like fish and chips and chicken skewers as well as panfried salmon, pulled pork baps and even vegan cobb salad, offering something for everyone.
The restaurant also has a great range of ribs, steaks and burgers, such as the ‘Towering Inferno’ and ‘Paul’s Inferno Burger’, and there’s a chorizo and cheddar stuffed burger if you’re looking for something extra tasty.
So, for a warm welcome in winter and fun outdoor dining and drinks in summer, come to Black Flame for a delicious taste of home.
