GOLFERS in Almeria are in for a treat thanks to a new development at the city’s Alborán Golf Club. Authorities announced that the course will soon have a brand new ‘Casa Club’ that will not only enhance the services offered at the sports complex, but also elevate the area’s reputation as a premier tourist destination.

The news was announced by Almeria’s mayor, María del Mar Vázquez, at the ninth Copa Alborán Golf tournament on Sunday, April 2, which drew 110 participants to the course. The mayor revealed that the muchanticipated Casa Club project, which has been requested by golf course members, will be a reality by 2024.

The Casa Club will be a 100 metre squared development with a range of stateoftheart facilities including a reception, social lounge, shop, changing rooms, trophy room and a terrace with a restaurant. The restaurant and social lounge will be located near the 18th hole, while the rooftop will house solar panels.
