Murcia’s Spring Festival starts

MURCIA kicks off its Spring Festival on Sunday April 9 and it has an extensive programme. There are shows for children of all ages in the planetarium in the Museo de la Ciencia y el Agua (the Museum of Water and Science) and an Easter egg hunt in the Thader Commercial Centre.

There will be many art exhibitions all over Murcia, on Avda de la Libertad, in the Thader commercial centre, the Ramón Gaya Museum and the Cultural Centre Puertas de Castilla. You can take a boat trip for just €1 along the Segura river.

If you are aged between 16 and 29 you can enter a photography competition as part of the spring festival with your best photographs of Murcia.

There will also be some parades and processions related to the very popular Murcian festival the ‘Banda de la Huerta’ which will take place on Tuesday April 11.
