Medieval Market La Manga

THE LA MANGA 365 COMMITTEE backed La Manga as a year­round destination in their recent congress. The Region of Murcia boasts 300 days of sun per year with an average temperature of 19 degrees and La Manga with the Mar Menor lagoon on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other is the perfect location for water sports.

The event which was held at the Club Náutico Dos Mares with more than 150 attendees was a success and they plan to with so many beautiful beaches to choose from, but how many of those beaches have the Internationally recognised Blue Flag awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education?

Here are the top 10 beaches in Murcia for 2023 with the all­important blue flag:

Playa Levante, Aguilas, Murcia repeat the event next year. Elite sportspeople like David Meca, the Open Water World Champion and Olympic gold medallist in Windsurfing Marina

Alabau spoke at the event. The committee’s objective is to continue to generate tourist activity beyond the summer. They also discussed the expected occupancy for the Murcia region during Semana Santa which as previously reported in the Euro Weekly News is expected to be more than last year’s 93 per cent.

Beer Garden

THE Alhambra Garden of Beers (El Jardín de Cervezas Alhambra) returns to Murcia in April after it had much success last autumn. It will be located outside the Artillery BarracksCuartel de Artileria ­ on Calle Cartagena in Murcia City. It will be free entrance for all until it has reached its capacity. It opens on Monday, April 10 from 6pm.

The garden will be open during the month of April and apart from being a relaxing and atmospheric place to have a beer, it will offer: tastings, acoustic concerts, gastronomic experiences, DJ sessions, and workshops.
