Palmera Fest

THE new edition of this festival of art, culture, and music will be held on June 10 at the Las Claras Cultural Centre in Los Alcazares. The event begins at 5pm and will finish around midnight. There will be a market with more than 30 stands, a stage for concerts, and two areas for workshops and talks, as well as a bar with food and drinks which will include a vegan option.

The event will promote sustainability and environmentalism related to the Mar Menor and so there will be talks on this topic, stands promoting vintage clothing and restored furniture. THE exhibition ‘Ancestors, Neanderthals in the Region of Murcia’ opened in the Enrique Escudero de Castro Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena on May 10 and can be visited free of charge until September 3. Through this exhibition, we can see how the inhabitants of the region lived tens of thousands of years ago.

The tour allows you to enjoy unique archaeological pieces that perfectly represent the period in which the Neanderthals roamed the region including elements from the important site Cueva de los Aviones.
