A RECENT survey by the Spanish Office for National Statistics asked an interesting question, ‘What is the best place in the country to live’, and the results were also fascinating!

The northern city of Vigo secured the prestigious title of Spain’s best city to live in in the survey.

Many Spanish cities offer an excellent quality of life, particularly as the country recently hit the 20th spot on the coveted global Social Progress Index, but this survey aimed to find the perfect city to call home, according to Spanish residents.

The survey results, released on Thursday, May 11, captured the sentiments of more than 3,000 people living in the city’s largest 15 cities.

Vigo emerged triumphant in the survey for its excellent attributes, including activities for families, incredible safety levels, its pristine air quality, ecofriendly measures, educational opportunities, and cleanliness.
