CULTURE enthusiasts in Estepona are preparing for a night filled with ancient wonders on Saturday, June 3 with the town’s highly anticipated ‘White Night’ (Noche en blanco) cultural event.
Marking a cultural extravaganza like no other, all of the town’s mesmerising museums will open their doors to the public from 8pm until midnight, and the best part is admission is completely free.
The focal point of this opendoor celebration will be the breathtaking Mirador del Carmen, where visitors can immerse themselves in the splendid exhibition titled ‘Living in Painting: Spanish Art in the Carmen Thyssen Bornemisza Collection’.
The enchanting Botanical Garden Orchidarium, the Dolmen Centre of Corominas, the Tejerinas House, and the of community in supporting those in need. He stated, “It may seem like a small gesture, but it solves a temporary problem.” He added “The spirit of Rotary is based on ‘making a better world’, and that is the path we want to continue on in Malaga.”
LA CALA Lions held a heartwarming fun day in Mijas on Saturday, May 13 for children affected by childhood cancer. The children, along with their siblings and supportive family members, gathered in droves to enjoy a day that will hold a special place in their hearts.

Spearheaded by Lions president Wynson Beswick, alongside a team of enthusiastic club members and dedicated volunteers, this event was nothing short of magical.

From the moment they arrived, the children were immersed in a world of joy and excitement. The atmosphere was electric as facepainters and enthusiastic tshirt painters helped their young participants to create works of art.
Igniting the night
Municipal Archaeological Museum will also welcome guests throughout the night.
There will also be plenty of entertainment including the vibrant ‘Grand Civilisations’ parade, which will go down Avenida España at 8pm. At 8.30pm, guests will be enthralled by the spectacular ‘Aztec Fire’ and ‘Gladiator Battle’ shows, taking place at Plaza García Caparrós and La Rada Beach.
Estepona town band will serenade the crowds with a concert featuring epic film soundtracks at Plaza Reloj from 9pm. Performances will continue past 11pm in public spaces in the town.
Pride and joy
Shuffle board games and a captivating fishing game brought smiles and laughter to their faces. The challenge of ‘Name the Lion’ sparked curiosity and wonder, while a skillful juggler mesmerised the crowd. Amid the festivities, a little teepee offered a serene escape, where Max led gentle exercises to rejuvenate the young adventurers.
However, the event was also about support. The AECC and Foundation Olivares charities were overjoyed to receive generous cheques worth €1,500 each from the Lions.
