The service will be available from 10am to 2pm and again from 4pm to 7.30pm. Dedicated volunteers from the Civil Protection Group will pick up interested individuals from their homes, accompany them to their designated polling stations, and ensure their safe return afterward. This remarkable initiative showcases the council’s commitment to fostering an inclusive electoral landscape, where every resident’s voice can be heard. By providing support to those with reduced mobility and disabilities, Almuñecar is setting a shining example for other municipalities to follow, ensuring that no one is left behind in a democracy.

ALMUÑECAR Council has launched an engaging online summer school with Matrícula 10 designed to boost employability. It covers hospitality, healthcare, IT, and languages, with a 50 per cent tuition discount for unemployed people. Courses start on Monday, July 3.

IN a bid to combat the severe drought crisis during recent years, Francisco Salado the mayor of Rincon de la Victoria held an important technical meeting with Álvaro Real Jiménez, the Director General of Water Infrastructure at the Department of Agriculture, Water, and Rural Development from the Andalucian Regional Government on Thursday, May 18.
Representatives from companies involved in the emergency works taking place along the coastline also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, authorities assessed the progress of the emergency work. Some areas are nearly finished, while others are around 70 per cent complete.
