Eye-catching exhibition
RENOWNED Mexican artist Erik Rivera’s latest exhibition, ‘titled Vernáculo’, is currently on display at Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana in Rincon de la Victoria after launching on Wednesday, May 24.
Rivera’s collection showcases a captivating selection of mainly oiloncanvas portraits, characterised by subjects with large, expressive eyes and vibrant, contrasting colours. With ‘Vernáculo’, the artist aims to engage viewers by showing his personal perspective.
The exhibition is open to the public with free admission until Sunday, June 18. Visitors can explore the artwork from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10.30am and 1.30pm, and from 5pm to 8pm. On Sundays, the exhibition is open from 10.30am to 1.30pm at Casa Fuerte de Bezmiliana, located on Avenida del Mediterráneo in Rincon de la Victoria.
Erik Rivera, born in Mexico City in 1979, holds a degree in Graphic Communication from the UAM XOCHIMILCO university. He began his artistic career as an editorial designer at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico before gaining recognition for his distinctive style fo
