RIO SAFARI ELCHE is proud to confirm it is preparing for its first­ever summer school.

Among the activities programmed, there will be Knowledge Adventures around the zoo. Some days will be focused on learning about certain animals and how important it is to take care of them.

There will also be time to enjoy the Splash Park.

ORIHUELA City Council has announced its participation as a partner in the European E­Connecting Network.

The E­Connecting Network is a program that aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and innovation between European city authorities. This enables the cities to share experiences and collaborate in the development of solutions for common urban challenges.

Along with Orihuela, other European cities have been selected to form part of the E­Connecting Net­ perception of wonder and admiration in everything related to animals and plants and stimulating an attitude of respect for the environment and conservation of natural environments and all the fascinating species that the children will have the opportunity to observe.

THE town council of Aspe has launched a voucher campaign, Bono ­ consumo, aimed at the end consumer to encourage local shopping during the summer.

The Department of Commerce reports that Aspe consumers can benefit from the vouchers with a discount of €10 for every €20 on purchases in shops, hotels, services and professional businesses in general.

The councillor for Commerce, Toni Garcia, has encouraged citizens to purchase vouchers and confirmed: “The vouchers went on sale on June 20 and an amount of almost €132,000 will be allocated to promote shopping in our town.”

Vouchers can be purchased from the app. Head to your phone’s Play Store and search for the BUYBONO app, then select ‘ASPE’.

Everyone registered with the app, is permitted up to three vouchers per registration.

Each of the municipalities involved will contribute their experience and knowledge, thereby creating a network for the exchange of good practices that will promote sustainable urban development throughout Europe.

The E­Connecting Network will start in July 2023 and it is estimated that it will last two years and five months. To carry out this project, a total financing of €834,121.05 has been secured from the European Regional Development Fund.

TRAVELLERS in and out of Alicante might face unexpected delays as the Canalejas, Doctor Gadea, Federico Soto and General Marvá axis will be closed to traffic due to urban transformation works from June 26 until the end of the year. Access and exit roads will remain open. The councillor for Transport, Manuel Villar, also confirmed that from July 3 the Paseo de los Mártires will be closed until the start of the school year at the beginning of September to complete the renovation work on the seafront.

Alicante City Council advises drivers to avoid the seafront and use the ring roads of the A ­ 70 motorway, Vía Parque and Gran Vía to get around the city, in addition to the use of parkand­ride car parks and public transport.
