More flags!

ON Friday June 16, Alicante’s El Postiguet beach received the Qualitur 2023 flag awarded by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana to endorse the excellence and accessibility of the Community’s sandy beaches.

A total of 90 beaches and coves in 11 municipalities in the province of Alicante that have quality, environmental or accessibility certificates have received this flag, which represents nearly half of the total number of flags awarded in the Community.

The Tourist Board explained that “this Qualitur flag endorses the quality certificates already awarded to this beach, where the Ecoplayas flag was hoisted for the first time on June 15, in addition to the blue flag also flying at the Postiguet.” In this sense, they anticipate that “we will continue working to maintain and even increase the level of quality in all the beaches of Alicante.” sound or wardrobe.

The Qualitur flag recognises the efforts of municipalities that offer beaches with clean water and wellkept sand, surveillance measures, hygienic services, leisure facilities, environmental protection measures and guaranteed universal accessibility, according to Turisme Comunitat Valenciana.

In total, 204 beaches and coves in 39 municipalities in the Valencian Community have this recognition.

RENFE trains have confirmed that the MadridAlicante route is now a new petfriendly route on selected trains.

The transport company announced that, from June 19, dogs weighing up to 40 kilos will be able to enjoy journeys on AVE trains connecting these two cities, joining the MadridZaragozaBarcelona and MadridMalaga.
