JALON VALLEY HELP

IN the last nine months

Jalon Valley Help (JVH) medical store loaned out a total of 195 items of medical equipment to adults and children.

For adults the principle equipment includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, Zimmer frames, crutches, walkers/ strollers, commodes, shower chairs and much more.

For children the main items are car safety seats, highchairs, stair gates and pushchairs as well as nappies, hygiene pads, pants and baby food.

Jalon Valley Help ask for a deposit based on the cost of an item, for example a medical bed deposit would be €50. Most of the time when the item is returned the person kindly waives the return of the deposit, which JVH then keep as a donation to their fund for helping anyone in need in our community.

JVH also operate, with Cancer Care Javea, a cancer care advisory centre at the Animo Centre in Alcalali each Thursday morning.

The Animo Drop­In centre also offers tea and chat sessions on Tuesdays, Slimming and Craft group on Thursdays, and Seated Keep Fit on Fridays.

To do all these worthwhile tasks, as well as to raise money at their three shops and to arrange events, JVH need volunteers who can give a few hours to work as part of this fun­loving multinational team.

Please help Jalon Valley Help to be able to support even more people who are in need in our community, which for JVH spreads well beyond the valleys of Jalon and Orba.
