Open Mic Night
THE Open Mic Nights organised by the U3A Denia Guitar Group at La Bresca restaurant in Els Poblets are an opportunity for local amateur musicians to perform in front of a live audience for free.
The event is organised by well known local guitar player Doug and Cazzie, who runs the U3A Denia Guitar Group as well as ukulele group The Jukes of El Verger.
The audience get to enjoy the performances for free and discover some very talented local amateur musicians in the area.
Twelve musicians performed at the last Open Mic Night on Thursday June 22 to a very appreciative audience.
Doug, Ann, Ian and Gladys, Gilly, Cazzie, Tony, Dave, Tim, Pat, Jan and Alexi all performed with a variety of instruments including guitar, ukulele, melodeum and organ.
The audience was treated to renditions from the 1950s right through to some modern tunes, and all performed with great enthusiasm by our entertainers.
This is an ideal venue for this type of evening with both indoor and outdoor space for the audience to enjoy the performances along with a delicious choice of menu.
The next Open Mic Night at La Bresca will be on Thursday July 27 starting at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to take part.
