THURSDAY June 21 was Fiesta night in Alcalali, with The Entertainers providing the show and Jalon Valley ARC raising funds.

In the early evening the local bars already had all their tables set up in the church/town hall square for outside dining, all the remaining spaces were filled with chairs - which were all mostly filled with half an hour to go to the performance.

With many in the audience still enjoying their food during the first set The Entertainers featured more gentle songs which they could enjoy without wanting to get up and dance.

The songs included several classics, such as Annie’s Song, Country Roads and Across the Universe, a Beatles song which has not had the acclaim it deserves. They ended the set with La Bamba as a taster of what was to come.

With the sun finally set and the lights on in the square and on stage, Alcalali square had a surreal magical feeling, which was set alight by The Entertainers
