ELCHE City Council has put out a heatwave warning and offered advice on how the people of Elche can take preventative measures to stay safe in the sun.

The State Meteorological Agency issued a yellow alert, warning all the citizens of Elche of the threat of extreme heat. Faced with this problem, the Department of Health launched a campaign on June 26 for the people of Elche to protect themselves from high temperatures.

The councillor for Health, Inma Mora, highlighted some basic tips to avoid heat stroke or fainting.

The councillor confirmed: “There are basic recommendations that we should all follow such as drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated, avoiding the hottest part of the day and keeping cool in shady places, applying sun cream, avoiding alcohol and caffeine and maintaining a diet rich in vegetables and fruit.” to great lengths to have the course in the best possible condition on the day, especially when you consider the difficulties suffered during the last couple of months.
