Soundwaves and sun

AXARQUIA’S biggest festival kicked off on Wednesday, July 5. The four­day extravaganza has brought together music lovers from across the nation and further afield in Torre de Mar.

Speaking just before the festival got underway, the deputy mayor of Torre del Mar, Jesús Pérez Atencia shared his excitement, “We’re here at the iconic Weekend Beach venue in Torre del Mar, just before one of the biggest music festivals in southern Spain kicks off. This remarkable event has truly transformed Torre del Mar and the entire Velez­Malaga area, also boosting tourist numbers.”

Atencia also discussed some of the biggest pull factors of the festival, including its reputation for sun, sand and incredible music by globally­renowned artists.
