Entrepreneurship and opportunities

THE president of the Andalucian Association of Self Employed Workers (ATA), Rafael Amor, has valued the growth of self employed workers in the Andalusian community, but has warned of “a difficult year at a national level.”

Almeria is the third province with the highest growth in the number of self employed, with a rise of 0.4 per cent, only surpassed by Cadiz and Malaga.

In June, 257 people became self employed, a trend that stands out in a national panorama where Amor denounces that the situation is “stagnating at 0 per cent” and the loss of this type of employees in provinces such as Sevilla and Jaen.

The main lines of business at a regional level are in agriculture, where in the last year 864 selfemployed workers have been incorporated, a figure that contrasts with the collapse of the data in trade, which loses 3,858 employees, and industry, with a fall of 399 people.

ATA defends that the Andalucian Government is “reducing obstacles and eliminating obstacles for the self employed.

“We are going to work together with the government to make Andalucia a land of entrepreneurship, opportunities, job creation and wealth,” Amor confirmed.
