Big time winner

A VERY lucky Almerian resident won a whopping €535,000 on the ONCE lottery game entitled ELEVEN.

Emilio Carrion who sold the winning ticket has just been awarded Salesman of the Year for the ELEVEN lottery game in the provinces of Almeria, Granada and Jaen. which is currently a multi­lane road, will maintain its configuration, but will be freed from port traffic. The integration of pedestrian and cycle mobility on the N­340a is envisaged through the creation of a footbridge over the road.

Since 2018 Emilio has been bringing luck to the Almerian neighbourhood of Retamar.

The seller confirmed: “The truth is that I’m a lucky seller and the excitement is the same every time a prize is given out.

“The key to being a good seller of the ELEVEN lies in kindness, humility, and the steadfastness of being there day to day,” Emilio added.

Pride ends

A MASSIVE rainbow flag (and plenty of smaller ones) filled the streets of Almeria which hosted its final celebration of the LGTBIQ+ Pride March on July 8.

The march began from Puerta de Purchena to the Parque de las Almadrabillas under the slogan: Diversity has no age.

The march marked the closure of the different activities that celebrated Pride Week which began on June 28.
