AN investigation is underway to determine if speeding was the cause behind a boat crashing into the promenade of La Mota de Lo Pagán. The incident occurred on Thursday night when a boat collided with the strip of land that separates the Mar Menor from the salt lakes in the Natural Park of the Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar.

Emergency medical services promptly responded to the scene, attending to a seriously injured man and several other crew members who sustained minor injuries.
