THE San Pedro del Pinatar Emergency Services has introduced a new beach application this year, allowing users to access real­time information about the state of the beaches.

The application can be easily accessed through the municipal website ( https://www.sanpe drodelpinatar.es/estadode ­ las ­ playas /), providing valuable updates and details of interest to beachgoers.

As of July 10, there are 16 yellow flags flying on the beaches of the Region of Murcia, indicating cautionary measures that need to be ob ­ served. Several surveillance posts have been set up across Águilas, Cartagena, San Javier, and San Pedro del Pinatar, displaying the yellow flags as a precautionary measure.

The Torre Derribada beach in San Pedro del Pinatar is the sole location with a yellow flag. Thanks to this new application and the online resources available, visitors and residents alike can ensure they have the most up ­ to ­ date information about beach conditions, promoting safety and enjoyable experiences along the Costa Cálida.

UCAM has become the first Spanish university to establish a Venture Studio, a platform dedicated to supporting scientific and technological startups.
