CALLING Estepona’s international community! The local Association for Foreign Residents, AREME is preparing to launch a series of exciting community events for all to get involved with.

Events will kick off with a new series of coffee mornings in the Benavista area, at Alex’s Corner, on the corner of Calle Benavista and Calle Azahar. Guests are welcome to swing by between 11am and 1pm on the third Mon­ day of each month.

The coffee mornings are scheduled to take place on the following dates: Monday, July 17, Monday, August 21, Monday, September 18, Monday, October 16, and Monday, November 20.

The organisation’s popular quiz nights also return at VisaVersa in Estepona Port, from Thursday, September 7.

The second quiz will be on Thursday, September 21, then on the first and third

Thursday of every month.

AREME, the Foreign Residents Association of Estepona, is the go­to group for representing the interests of foreign residents in town. They work closely with the Council Foreigners Department and have been serving the community since 2013. The organisation’s website is currently under construction, but new members can join AREME’s Facebook group.
