Stories in the spotlight
THE Villa de Mijas Theatre Festival arrives in the town from today, Thursday, July 13 with a packed programme of theatre for the next four nights.
Shows on offer include ‘Yerma’, one of Federico García Lorca’s most iconic plays, taking place tonight. There will also be a lively 80s and 90s themed musical, on Friday, July 14.
On the weekend, guests will be amazed by one of the most talented acapella groups around on Saturday, July 15. To finish off, a mindblowing illusionist, Toni Bright will take to the stage with his ‘Seeing is believing’ show.
The performances take place at the Miguel González Berral Municipal Auditorium, with a fantastic lineup of quality theatre talents. The shows offer free entry to guests on a first come, first served basis.
Doors open at 10pm for each of the performances before curtain up at 10.30pm.
Visitors can laugh at the comedies, marvel at the magic, sing along to the music, and all for free.
