Bear-y successful first festival
TORREMOLINOS’ inaugural ‘Bear Week’ came to an end on Sunday, July 16, marking a first for the town’s LGBTQ+ community.
Edén Beach Club and Aqua Emporio played host to the fourday event, which saw members of the gay community from all over Europe and beyond come together for a celebration of masculinity, and the LGBTQ+ community.
The festival was a fourday extravaganza dedicated to the bear subculture in the gay community, which has been around since the 80s. Members of the bear group were the stars of the show, showing off their unique style and flair.
Attendees rocked their swimsuits and partied day and night, enjoying the best music from top DJs like Thiago Oliveira and Juandi García.
The festival attracted a diverse crowd of guests, with people from Italy, the UK, Brazil, and the US coming together for a good time.
The first ever Torremolinos Bear Week festival was a celebration of diversity, body positivity, and inclusivity.
Despite the festival coming to an end, the LGTBQ+ community in Torremolinos never stops planning events, with the town recently launching a bid to host EuroPride among other events.
