Beyond service

KIND firefighters were only too happy to assist when a patient who was being discharged from Elda hospital realised he was unable to return home to his apartment in the same town due to severe mobility problems.

The hospital contacted the fire station, who waited for an ambulance to bring the man home. They then carefully placed him onto a hydraulic platform before raising him into the air and up to his first floor balcony. Once he was parallel with the balcony, more firefighters moved him safely to his terrace and took him inside his apartment.
