THE Performing Arts Month returns to San Pedro Alcantara this August, featuring a dynamic lineup of five spellbinding performances in dance, circus, theatre, and music.
Curated by the local council in collaboration with the regional government’s Cultural Institutions Agency, this immersive experience promises to be an enchanting journey for all.
Showcasing awardwinning snippets from prestigious shows, these free performances, starting at 9pm, are designed to inspire audiences of all ages.

On Thursday, August 10, guests can enjoy the hilariously athletic ‘Ohlimpiadas’ by Las Sincro, staged at Bulevar, next to the iconic Las Cañas monument.
The festival will conclude the following weekend with two more performances the evening was the coronation ceremony, where the Fair Queens, Ladies, Miss Congeniality, the Little King and Queen, and the charming Míster and Queen from the Nueva Andalucía Community Centre were crowned as they took to the stage in their regal splendour.
Nueva Andalucia’s fair lasted over the weekend with hundreds of locals showing up in traditional flamenco dress and enjoying food, music and activities at the joy filled community celebration.
On Saturday, July 28 and Saturday August 25, chiringuitos along the coast will keep the music playing until 2am. Local councillor José Sánchez said the special permit allows bars to “offer nightlife alternatives beyond the daytime beach scene.”
Owners can host live bands without applying for oneoff licences. Sánchez thanked the venues for collaborating since the nights launched in 2018 to energise Fuengirola’s waterfront during summer.
With crashing waves accompanying singers and strummers, Fuengirola’s chiringuitos will transform into stunning moonlit music venues.
