Almeria City Council launches their “Discover Almeria” mobile app which offers information on tourist hotspots, events and recommended routes in the city.

The app, which allows people to find out interesting information related to tourism, culture, nature and gastronomy was launched to promote Almeria as a tourist destination. The mobile app is part of the ´Tourism Stategy for Large Cities of Almería´ campaign, promoted jointly by the council and the Junta de Andalucía.

MyStreetbook is the company behind the app, and they began their collaboration with Almeria City Council through a technological entrepreneurship program with the Junta de Andalusia. Telefónica has also provided its know­how for smart route and scheduling, so you can create personalized travel plans. The app will allow you to plan and schedule visits to tourist attractions, and will have the latest information on concerts, exhibitions and festivals. It is free to download and is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
