TWO new biohealthy parks are set to pop up in El Toyo. The areas are aimed at the elderly to enjoy exercise. At a cost of €26,587, the spaces will provide green areas and various exercise machines. Completion is expected in two months.
Totem poles
ALMERIA is now enjoying 17 interactive totem poles that have been installed throughout the city. The aim is to inspire visitors with the wide range of possibilities that lie before them on their trip showing events, tourist offers and activities that are available.
Under the sea
THE Guardia Civil has recovered more than a ton of hashish distributed in 35 bales at the bottom of the sea in an action carried out on the coast of Almería. This operation required the intervention of the Underwater Activities Specialist Group.
Maritime rescue
ON August 5, Maritime Rescue sent a helicopter to rescue a member of a fishing boat that was having medical problems. The lucky fisherman was rescued after an emergency call was made.
