Cautious closure
IT HAS been decided to temporarily close the access to the river Chillar, as a precautionary measure for as long as the high risk of forest fire continues.
This measure will take effect from Thursday, August, 10.
The Nature Protection Service of the Guardia Civil (SEPRONA) has warned of “high risk” of fires and has suggested the area be closed. The Councillor for the Environment for Nerja, Javier Rodríguez, added that this measure is taken, above all, "to protect people".
