Jamon festival

TUESDAY August 8 saw the inauguration of the VIII World Ham contest known as Jamon Popi on the Estepona seafront.

Increasingly more popular, this growing event which runs until Tuesday August 15 (which is a National Holiday) has attracted more than 60 exhibitors who between them are fielding some 200 skilled ham cutters.

Visitors will be able to watch the professionals at work, enjoy some of the best ham products in Spain and enjoy a number of free evening concerts.

A word of warning however, even in the weeks before this event, car parks have been closed because they are full of visitors enjoying the charms of one of the Costa del Sol’s most attractive and welcoming municipalities.
