They carry within them the type of movie star confidence that is only achieved after becoming a global icon and beating all the odds.” Cipriani Marbella’s à la carte menu is built on the concept of simple Italian food made to perfection. It features signature dishes from the legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice, including Calf’s Liver ‘alla Veneziana’ with Fried Polenta, Baked Tagliolini with Ham, and Risotto ‘alla Primavera’ appealing to a variety of tastes. ON Friday, February 2, Costa del Sol networking group, Business 1st, will hold an exciting event for any golfers, business owners, or community members in the area. Business 1st is a networking group that was first founded by British woman Sam Campbell back in January 2009. On the ninth of this month they celebrated their 15 year anniversary, and Sam looked back on how far the group has come. Euro Weekly News spoke to this fantastic female founder, who told us the idea began as a way to connect business owners in the area, focusing on meeting early in the morning so as not to impact one’s working day. From just a few people meeting in 2009, Business 1st now has three networking groups along the coast: La Cala de Mijas, a group that EWN is proudly a part of, Marbella, and Fuengirola, which was started last May. A total of 60 business and self employed bosses are now part of this incredible networking circle. This golfing event on February 2 was inspired by the constant aim of Business 1st to not only help residents with their work, but also give back to a community where they feel lucky to live. Sam told EWN that: “we are passionate about helping those who need it on the Costa del Sol. We are extremely fortunate to live here and it’s not just about making money for ourselves and our members, we also want to give back.” The charity that this event

There are 80 spots to play, with around half of them already having been filled, so register now to avoid disappointment. THE most modern version of the popular opera Carmen, is being shown live from the Metropolitan Opera House in New York at the Yelmo Cinema in Malaga’s Plaza Mayor on Saturday, January 27. Cine Yelmo continues in 2024 with exclusive screenings of the new season of the Metropolitan Opera House (MET) in New York. The evening features Carmen, the popular masterpiece by Georges Bizet. It can be seen live on January 27 beamed directly to Malaga’s cinema. Tickets are already on sale on the Cine Yelmo website. Acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell presents a brand new production of one of opera’s most powerful and enduring works, revitalising the classic story. The staging moves the action to modern times and finds at the heart of the drama issues that are entirely contemporary: gender-based violence, abusive work structures and the desire to break the boundaries of society. The group will enjoy a European cruise on January 27 visiting Sardinia, Marseille, Florence, Rome and La Palma. The February lunch group meet on the 7th at Tomaquet, a restaurant in Calle Palangreros where a three-course lunch and half bottle of wine per person is on offer for €13.50 which is very reasonable in these times of increased prices for everything.
