Marbella Club Hotel Due to our close ties with The Marbella Club we are glad to have been offered a prestigious office there. Meet Some of The Team MICHEL EUESDEN Managing Director Michel Euesden is the Managing Director of Spain’s biggest and most successful expatriate free newspaper, the Euro Weekly News. She couldn’t be prouder of her Northern roots “and I’m happy to proclaim that I come from Rochdale, also the birthplace of the incomparable Gracie Fields. The greatest thing that my parents ever gave me was a strong work ethic and I grew up knowing that there was no substitute for hard work. That must be due to being a Northern girl and having learnt the hard way all those times when I was shovelling coal in for my grandparents!” she explains. “I have been a grafter all my life and know full well that I shall be a grafter in the future, too,” she adds. ‘I can’t, won’t and don’t suffer fools gladly although I’ll shower compassion on anyone or anything showing signs of vulnerability, whether it’s a defenceless human being or a stray dog.” Michel is convinced that she works with the best team in the industry and admits her partnership with her sales director husband, Steven, is key to her success “we go together like strawberries and cream!” Over the years Michel has personally and professionally supported fund raising events to help the foreign community in Spain. From last year’s massively successful spring garden party in Fuengirola which raised more than 29,000 euros for Age Concern to continued support for various other charities including Afghan Heroes.
STEVEN EUESDEN Sales Director I am immensely proud of our achievements in Spain. As many people who work and live abroad soon realise to their cost, making a success of any business venture requires an investment of twice the amount of blood, sweat and – yes – tears as in the UK. In 2012 I realise the responsibility we have more than ever because, for some, times are hard meaning people need advertising more than ever to get their products and services to market. One of the best quality papers currently in print 20-05-2011 Spanish Property Choice have been advertising within the province of Costa Almeria for many years. We have always had a high profile marketing package, but found over the years that being in lots of newspapers and advertising magazines does not always achieve the highest yield for us as a business. My attitude is it’s no good being in a newspaper if the distribution is limited and no one is going to see it. So this is why after a lot of trial and error we decided to advertise centre pages in the Euro Weekly News every week of the year and have been doing so for many years now. We are happy in the knowledge that our hard earned money is well spent as the paper is still expanding. They have the largest distribution within our area and are also one of the best quality papers currently in print.
