I have lived in the Lansing area for the past 19 years and would like to welcome you to the neighborhood! We LOVE it in Lansing. My family chose to live here because it is centrally located in MICHIGAN. We have an airport, fun unique restaurants, and some GREAT boutiques and shops. We are excited to have you here and I would love to let you in on a few of the places that I LOVE to shop in Lansing and the surrounding areas.

There are many cute boutiques and co†ee shops in our area. There are several di†erent shopping districts between OLD Town Lansing, East Lansing (near the campus of Michigan State University), and even places like Downtown Mason, where you can Žnd one- of -a -kind women's clothing items and specialty home or gi’ pieces.

HORROCK’S MARKET Horrock’s carries lots of specialty and local products as well. And it’s always a fun trip thanks to the beautiful produce displays, garden, and the fact that you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer or a complimentary cup of co‚ee as you shop!

LOCAL TIP

2020 The Old Town General Store is a great spot to buy locally owned gifts for your non-Michigan friends or to show your own Michigan pride. Chris B., Okemos 11 years

WHOLE FOODS Whole Foods is going to be your ideal destination for all of your specialty organic food needs. They have an amazing produce selection including many local options. If you are a fan of sweet potatoes, de–nitely try the Japanese sweet potatoes (they have a red-ish skin and are white on the inside). They are my favorite for making crispy sweet potato fries.

Whole Foods also has you covered for fresh meat and seafood. They have high animal welfare standards and plenty of local, organic, and grass-fed options. De–nitely check out the Atlantic Salmon. This salmon is TO DIE FOR and a family favorite at my house. Typically, I only eat wild-caught seafood but at Whole Foods, the quality of farmed –sh is much higher. The –sh live in a healthy environment where water quality is monitored and they are fed an all-natural diet.

Whole Foods carries many gluten-free, grain-free, vegan, dairy-free, etc. products making any dietary restrictions a breeze. Also be sure to check out their bulk section for amazing prices on things like oats, beans, dried fruit, nuts and seeds, and almond flour!

Also, be sure to make a pit stop at their hot bar/salad bar for healthy on-the-go meals, their smoothie and co‚ee bar, and pick up a bottle of local wine on your way out!
