Indeed, it is not just the Danube; you can also go on European river cruises down the likes of the Seine as well and take in all the beauty and splendour that this entails too. A river cruise will also benefit you from the standpoint of the vessel as well. The cruise ship itself will be smaller than one that you would go on a cruise to in a distant location and this is no bad thing. What you will get is a very personalized experience because there will be less people on the cruise but it will still have all the things that you would not only expect from a cruise ship but also what you would find on a larger vessel. River cruises are fantastic to see many different places in such a short period of time while missing nothing in-between.
