Tutor of the international 1:1 scale wood design and construction workshop at "La Lavatrice" We explained and helped young people living in sheltered accommodation to cut, drill, sand and assemble with wood to make urban furniture to improve the space of the popular residential building San Pietro, by the architect Aldo Luigi Rizzo known as "Le Lavatrice".

FUTURE MATERIALS

I have researched and experimented with various recipes using natural or circular materials with the aim of making sustainable packaging for my jewellery designs or other objects.

I have explored the qualities and properties of alternative sustainable materials in order to develop new materials, such as bioplastics, using agar agar, glycerine and starch or bioconglomerates based on eggshells or biotextiles based on mandarin peels. Or reuse cardboard from egg cartons and make new packaging.

The aim is to have sustainable alternatives and an ecologically conscious approach to the choice of materials.

The project is realised by means of square modular platforms, a colourful line is drawn. Alongtheway,someseatingplaces,flowerbeds, deckchairsandtablescharacteriseandanimate thepromenadenearthepaintedsea.

Withthelargewhiteletters"LIDOSANPIETRO" lining the edge of the terrace, we have underlinedthenameandtheoriginalidentityof theneighbourhood,givingbacktotheresidential complexaflexibleandinteractivemeetingplace.
