Sweet Floppy Bunny By The Sewing Loft
Prep Work: 1. Cut out all pattern pieces. Remember that cutting counts on smaller detail pieces.
Bunny Instructions:
Materials Needed: Fat Quarter printed cotton Polyfil Felt, fleece, knit scraps Embroidery floss * double side fusible is optional Easter is right around the corner and this easy bunny is perfect to tuck inside the basket. 1. Place the face 1 1/4” below the top edge of body. Be sure to center from side to side and pin in place. All around machine straight stitch. 2. Position the heart in place on body. *If using fusible, iron in place according to package instructions. Blanket stitch all around. 3. Stack tail pieces and attached to the bottom back of bunny. 4. Position bonny face in the embroidery hoop. With embroidery floss and needle use small simple back stitches to create face. Draw guidelines if needed. 5. Match the ears, wrong sides together and straight stitch all around. Clip and turn right side out. Lightly press. Be sure to push out points if needed. Fold ears in half and straight stitch down center of each ear starting at bottom 1”. 6. Create arms and legs by folding knit fabric strip (long side to long side) in half. Tie a knot close to the end. Repeat for all 4 limbs. 7. Position & pin ears and limbs in place. Be sure to turn towards body. Stitch in place with 1/4” seam allowance. Sandwich the front and back with right sides together; pin. Straight stitch all around, leaving opening at bottom. 8. Clip all curves and corners. Turn right side out. 9. Stuff and slip stitch the opening closed with needle and thread. 1
