The Dimes are a group like no other. Their specialty is in all things throw-back, covering the most memorable songs from the most influential decades in music. Their extensive repertoire means that they truly have something for everyone: Elvis and other 1950s Rock and Roll, 1960s Doo-woop with a focus girl groups including The Supremes, 1970s Disco and dance floor starters from ABBA and The Bee Gees, 1980s tunes from Prince and Cyndi Lauper, 1990s jams with favourites from Britney to Backstreet Boys and the early 2000s throwback music that everyone loves. With 300 songs extending over 8 decades they can perfectly suit everyone’s musical tastes. The signature trait that makes The Dimes extra special is their inclusion of vintage costumes that fit perfectly in the era of music they sing, as well as choreography for each number that matches the decades to which they pay tribute.

MAIA BERESFORD | Maia is so happy to be back at the Evergreen after performing in the Play On Words Production’s Musical Theatre Cabaret in November of last year. She holds a Diploma in Musical Theatre from Capilano University and a BPA Degree from Douglas College. Maia has had the pleasure of performing with several theatre companies in the lower Mainland such as TUTs, RCMT, URP, Painted Fern, and Geekenders- to name a few. In her spare time, she trains in various dance programs with a heavy focus on heels, and is a volunteer/mentor for the BeaYoutiful Foundation. She currently works with Enchanted Events as a real-life princess, and has been a member of the Dimes for just over a year! Maia would like to dedicate this performance to her late grandfather, Gerry, and her Grandmother, Betty, for their musical influence and support.
TIANA SWAN | Tiana Swan is an interdisciplinary artist based in Vancouver. She has performed with many theatre companies throughout the lower mainland in productions such as The Rocky Horror Show, Rent, Legally Blonde The Musical and Little Shop of Horrors. She has previously contributed her powerful voice to a vintage vocal group covering music from the Prohibition and War Time Eras. Tiana has been a member of The Dimes since day one. She has contributed her choreography stylings and special flair to many of the numbers in our exciting shows. Tiana’s family played a pivotal role in her love of music from the 1960s-1980s, and she would like to dedicate this performance to her grandparents.
GINA FOSTER | Gina has been performing with The Dimes for 2 years, preceded by almost a decade in musical theatre. In addition to singing, she plays piano, bass, guitar, and drums, and does the musical arrangements for most of our songs! She would like to thank her partner, friends, family, and fellow Dimes for their love and support.
