JEREMY BERKMAN | TROMBONE

Though a combination of trombone, harp, and piano is not a typical trio, Trombonist Jeremy Berkman has a career highlighted by many collaborations with unlikely partners! Though a member of more traditional ensembles, performing as Principal Trombonist with Vancouver Opera’s orchestra since 1992, and as a member of A Touch of Brass Quintet, he has been featured in two cds with the Bozzini String Quartet. As a member of cellist Peggy Lee octet, The Peggy Lee Band, has been nominated for a Juno award, recorded six commercially released six cds and toured nationally and internationally.

A co-founder of Vancouver’s award winning, Turning Point Ensemble (with which Janelle Nadeau also plays harp!) he has helped develop numerous interdisciplinary projects, recorded, and toured internationally. Jeremy also performs with big bands led by Jill Townsend, John Korsrud, and Daniel Hersog. He has also performed as a studio musician for recordings led by Michael Buble, Tanya Tagaq, Matthew Good, Veda Hille, and Debra-Jean Creelman.
