DISCOVERING UK Weekly trip around Scotland I’m gonna tell you my personal experience in Scotland and the trips that I’ve made with some useful tips that can help you to prepare yours. Scotland is amazing to visit. From my point of view it worths going at least one week to do this journey, and always by car.

Castle and their views), and Inverness. It worth going for a half day visit, very unique and mystic places.

A visit to Scotland is not the same if you don’t go to a distillery. There are lots of them in the area between Inverness and Aberdeen, our next After one week volunteering in Largs and Glasgow destination, we decided to visit Dallas Dhu, an with the EP Grundtvig Learner Workshop, Felix old and traditional Distillery. Aberdeen is another and me went to Edinburgh (Castle in the big amazing city in the east coast build almost pic.) for a couple of days: Amazing and vibrant entirely with granite. If you have time, go to the city full of tourist (mainly Spanish) with some maritime museum (free entry) and walk around cheap hostels (8-10 pounds) in the city centre. I the city centre. encourage you to do the free tour (available in spanish & english). You can find more info in this website: www.neweuropetours.eu. Two days is enough to visit Edinburgh, then you can move to another place. After this visit, Felix came back to Leeds and I continued my discovery trip with other frinds. We went to visit the Falkirk Wheel (it´s an enormous wheel to act as a boat lift between two canals). After that, we continue through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. There was a really beautiful landscape between the mountains and Lochs. I really advise you to go for a walk around the Loch Katrine. You can breathe pure air, enjoy the forest and if you feel strong and rich, you can rent a bike there (£12x1hour), but it´s not necessary. After this short stop we continued to our final destination, a hostel in the middle of Cairngorm National Park, near Aviemore.

After Aberdeen we drove through the coast until Dunnottar Castle (in the small pic.) a Castle (as always in ruins) on the coast, amazing landscape. We finished our day visiting St.Andrews, the university, their great coast and in good mood. Finally we spend the last day in Stirling walking around the city centre, the Castle and the William Wallace Monument.

The next day we went to the main mountain and after taking some nice photographs we If you need any more practicle information, ask start our route to the Loch Ness, the village of me by email: visibility@everythingispossible.eu Drummadrochit (the most interesting part is the and I will answer you with pleasure!

THE WEATHER IN ENGLAND by Mayra Oreste

¿Who said it rains everyday in England? That person wasn’t on the wrong way but there is one aspect that I’d add: here you can find the four seasons everyday!!

You can get up, look through the window and decide, seeing the blue sky, to wear the spring trousers and pumps that you have in your wardrobe from a long time ago. Smiling because of the sun you go to work. There, all the people are surprised (like you) and speaking about the

good weather and remind you that it’s not usual… However, you can see that you are the only one who is wearing spring clothes. Yes, only you because the other people wear summer clothes! Like sandals and shorts (typical English people). It’s time to go home after working and when you go out from the office you realise where you are: you have you feet wet because of a pond… Yes, it’s windy and raining and you have to walk through the main road without umbrella, a proper coat and your wet feet… And the worst is when you walk next to Primark and you can read: “It’s summer, let’s buy new clothes!”… Summer?? In April?? In England?? What a lie!

When you arrive at home, completely wet, your flatmates invite you to go to a pub and drink a beer. So you put your rain shoes and your raincoat on, take your umbrella, and before going out you see the rest of the people are wearing spring clothes! As a good friend as you are, you suggest them changing their clothes, but they don’t want to. When you go out, unexpectedly, the clouds go away and the sun comes again. Of course you prefer the good weather but

not when you have as many layers as an onion! Your flatmates laugh at you and say that you are exaggerating, so you start believing it. But while you are going home after the beers (of course it couldn’t be only one) it starts snowing. Fortunately you are prepared for the snow but your flatmates aren’t, so they decide to walk next to you under your umbrella but it’s impossible because it’s from “One Pound” shop and it’s too small! With a smile on your face you say to them: “I think you are the ones who are exaggerating, remember we are not in Spain!”

Because of this I want to give you some advice: wear winter clothes every morning, take a big bag with you and carry your spring shoes, shorts, a t-shirt and sunglasses with you! And don’t forget the sun cream! ;) Mayra Oreste Armendáriz
