The apartment was located next to the swimming pool. We all lived together. The hotel was in Bugibba which is about thirty minutes from the cat sanctuary.

WHAT DID I LEARN PROFESSIONALLY?

WHAT DID I LEARN PERSONALLY?

I am India. I am studying an Extended Diploma in Animal Management: Wildlife Conservation. I have always been passionate about animals and have two cats.

INDIA in MALTA Animals

We did a variety of activities. My favourites were swimming with dolphins and horse riding. Others included visiting an aquarium and a mini cruise around the Maltese islands.

I learnt to adapt to different routines than what I was used to. I also had to work around language barriers; particularly with the other volunteers.

We carried out the daily routine which involved a lot of cleaning, watering and feeding the cats. The maintenance was clearing the outdoor section of loose gravel and roots.

I have become a stronger person that I have been. I have also discovered I have an interest in Maltese history; particularly the Maltese Knights.
