ABOUT ME

The project involved working and caring for the donkeys; carrying out cleaning, feeding, health checking the donkeys and assisting customers with purchases from the gift shop.

FREE TIME

ACCOMMODATION

Hi my name is Tracey and I live in a village outside Huddersfield. I am currently a trainee veterinary nurse and love working with animals.

Tracey in Aruba Animals

In my free time we explored the island by shopping, carried out activities such as snorkelling, horse riding and adventured into the national park.

WHAT DID I LEARN PROFESSIONALLY? I’ve learnt to provide health treatment for the donkeys by carrying out vaccinations for Tetanus.

THE PROJECT

A fantastic apartment with a beautiful pool and with a lot of local beautiful beaches but is extremely hot in Aruba, so always where plenty of sun cream and drink plenty of water.

WHAT DID I LEARN PERSONALLY? I can communicate somehow even though there is a language barrier, everyone I met are really nice, the Island is beautiful and everyone I worked with help me to gain more work experience skills to put forward into becoming a vet.
