LUKE About me
I’m Luke, I’m 17 years old. I come from Oldham, England. Before taking part in the project I was a learner at the Bradford Foyer, doing a media course, making films.
IN MALTA Motivation motivation
The project I decided to take part in this project because I love cats.
My placement takes care of all sorts of animals, especially cats.
I also knew how to take care ofcats being an owner myself.

Accommodation
The project
At the project I had to do a whole variety of things. This includes cleaning the placement, feeding the cats and renewing things like the litter boxes and beds.
In my free time, I ventured around Malta, visiting the different landmarks in Valletta, Slima and Qawra. I also spent a lot of time buying Maltese food at the supermarket.
What did I learn professionally?
Professionally I learned how hard it can be to take care of cats. Some were sick, injured or abundend. They all had different needs and it can get complicated at times.
THE COMIC BOOK 2.indd 28
I stayed at the Sea-View hotel. I was sharing a room with another trainee. The hotel was fairly central and mildly busy. Most of the projects were only a fewminutes walk away.
What did I learn personally?
Personally, I learned about the Maltese culture and made many friends while taking part in this project. I also learnt just how sunny and hot it can be here and then just bring big thunderstom.

IN SWEDEN The project
Motivation motivation
I really enjoy making things and the satisfaction you get from creating something by hand. I had been hoping to do a carpentry course and then came across this project, brilliant.
Free Time
Accommodation
We got alot of time to just be and chill in the Swedish nature as well doing some activities which included go-karting and claypidgeon shooting.
Apart from the knife we also worked on other small projects with horn and wood materials. Commercial projects included benches and tables, jetties and other larger wood projects.
What did I learn professionally? I learnt how to work with wood and organic materials and how to use more tools and machinery in the workshop.
THE COMIC BOOK 2.indd 29
We worked on carpentry projects at an organisation called IDEUM in Arvidsjaur, SE. The first project every group does before moving on to commercial projects is make a knife.
We had a flat a 10 minute cycle ride (bikes also provided) from IDEUM. Most of us had our own bedrooms and we had a kitchen where we cooked communal meals.
What did I learn personally?
I also learnt not to worry too much about messing up. It was all about doing and trying something out and learning from the process and potential mistakes along the way.

MALACHI About me
IN MALTA The project
Motivation motivation
I am Malachi, I am 2 years old and of course I am already a superhero because my Mummy and Papa run Everything is Possible and that’s a super organisation!
The project We worked at the cat sanctuary,
It was my job to play with the cats and to fill all the water bowls.
I wanted to go on this Leonardo Project because Mummy was going, but when I got there, I realised it was even better, there were lots of Leonardo friends in Malta I could play with when they weren’t working. It was great.
Free Time
We stayed opposite Buggiba Water Park, a free water play for people my size, and not like in England this was open until 19.00 every night so there was never a day I didn’t get to play there!
What did I learn professionally? I think I want to be a superhero when I grow up.
THE COMIC BOOK 2.indd 31
There was a nursery for children just my age where Everything is Possible trainees can work, actually it was so much fun, our work was just fun, I met lots of new friends. Leonardo is just great!
Accommodation
The bed was so comfy and outside my window I could see the seaside.
We were staying with our friends, Luke, Joe, Chescka & Aurelie. Mummy said she was working, I hope I have a job like this when I get grown up.
What did I learn personally? Or maybe a train driver.
