Welcome to a new era in charitable giving to Ole Miss Athletics. Formerly the UMAA Foundation, the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation will seek to provide a greater experience to its members and increased financial support for Rebel Athletics by using four main components: Simplicity, Philanthropy, Stewardship and Inclusiveness. Our efforts will be focused on two strategic initiatives: 1. Successful completion of the Forward Together campaign through the Vaught Society and Capital Gift Agreements including improvements to the Football Indoor Practice Facility, a new state-of-the-art basketball facility, expansion of the north end zone at VaughtHemingway Stadium, Gillom Center renovations and completion of a new “front door to Ole Miss Athletics. For an update on the campaign and its facility projects, please see page 24-25 of this brochure. 2. Increased support through the annual giving program to allow us to grow our donor base from 6,500 to over 10,000 and the athletics operating budget from $62 million to over $70 million in the near future. We will be successful through your support both financially and by spreading the word of the plan for the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. This is the time for us all to step up and realize the potential of Rebel Athletics. As always, we greatly appreciate your support. Your donations and purchase of season tickets give us the opportunity to compete at the highest level. Go Rebels!

A NEW WAY FORWARD The Ole Miss Athletics Foundation introduces a new model for Rebel fans to show their support for Ole Miss Athletics. This new model is designed to maximize your experience as a member of the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. Moving forward we will recognize your various different contributions over the course of the year as a single membership to allow us to better steward your overall charitable support of Rebel Athletics and encourage others to make similar commitments. What’s new for 2013-14: •
SIMPLICITY: Your annual giving associated with football, basketball, baseball tickets and parking will be sought each spring as a part of a single, membership drive. The Ole Miss Athletics Foundation staff can work with each member to create a multiple payment option that best fits your personal budget.
•
PHILANTHROPY: The membership model will allow proud Rebels across the country to show their support and “give what they can” in support of Ole Miss Athletics.
•
STEWARDSHIP: Many of the new benefits of giving to the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation will be based on your overall giving for the year, and access to football parking will be given to more members than in years’ past.
•
INCLUSIVENESS: With memberships starting at just $50, the annual fund provides an opportunity for all fans to support the Ole Miss Rebels. Brittany Broome – Softball Suwanee, Ga. Elementary Education One of three seniors on the team this season, Brittany Broome helped guide the Rebels to an eight-win improvement last season, their first under head coach Windy Thees. Broome, a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, finished ninth in the SEC last season with 20 steals, and led the team with three triples.
2 www.GiveToAthletics.com | 662-915-7159
Nik Scholtz - Men’s Tennis Caledon, South Africa General Studies Nik Scholtz became the first Rebel netter to earn SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2012, helping lead the team to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the 16th time and a final national ranking of No. 14. It marked the team’s 17th top-15 national finish since 1994. Scholtz was the only freshman to earn All-America honors in both singles and doubles, reached the NCAA Elite Eight in singles and ended the year as the second-highest ranked freshman. Off the court, Scholtz has been named to the UMAA Honor Roll.
Your Donation at Work We encourage all Rebel fans to become Ole Miss Athletics Foundation members. As a member, regardless of membership level, you are contributing to student-athlete excellence at Ole Miss. Support received from Ole Miss Athletics Foundation members is used to provide scholarships, academic counseling, sports medicine, equipment and travel, which are the components of a great studentathlete experience. The Ole Miss Athletics Foundation also provides a competitive edge for Ole Miss by enabling a national reach in recruiting, providing salary support for coaches and allowing the department to properly maintain and modernize facilities. Priority Points The Ole Miss Athletics Foundation utilizes a priority points system to acknowledge your continued support of Ole Miss Athletics. Priority points are accumulated through the following: • •
One point for every $100 donated to Athletics at Ole Miss. One point for every season ticket (up to 10 per year) since 1996 for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball.
Priority point totals are calculated monthly and the most current point totals will be used at each allocation. Points are calculated based on money donated, not pledged. Priority Points are used to determine the order of allocation for items such as: • • • •
Season ticket re-location requests Season parking request Away game ticket requests for football Post-season ticket requests for football, basketball and baseball
Order priority is determined by ranking each member by their point total from highest to lowest. You can view your priority point total by logging into your online account at GiveToAthletics.com.
Fabia McDonald - Women’s Track & Field Middletown, Ohio Social Work A stellar sophomore campaign saw Fabia McDonald earn 2012 Indoor All-America distinction in the pentathlon and honorable mention Outdoor All-America status in the heptathlon. The Middletown, Ohio, native broke her own school record in the indoor pentathlon and was the SEC runner-up in the outdoor heptathlon with a mark that ranks her second in the Ole Miss record books.

Away Game/Post Season Tickets The opportunity to order post-season tickets is a benefit of being an Ole Miss Athletics Foundation member. All away game, championship and bowl tickets will be allocated by priority as follows: •
All orders must be received prior to stated priority deadlines.
•
Order priority is determined by ranking each member by their point total from highest to lowest.
Please see the benefits chart on pages 6-7 for ticket eligibility for away and post-season tickets each level of membership. If you are requesting to sit with a specific group of people with multiple member accounts, remember that the entire group will be allocated at the lowest individual level of giving within the group. To make a request to sit with a specific group of people, please reference their name and account number on your paper renewal form, or in the comment box if you renew online.

Annual Fund/Membership FAQ Why is it important that I make my pledge and send in at least 25 percent of my contribution by April 30? Meeting the April 30 deadline for pledges signifies your intent to support the Rebels through a membership in the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. By indicating your intent to renew your annual fund membership and establishing a donation schedule by April 30, you guarantee retention of your football seating and parking location, provided you meet the minimum contribution level for the seating and parking and renew your tickets on time. Additionally, having pledges in by April 30 helps the department accurately project revenues, which assists with the budgeting process for the coming athletics year and allows us to provide the resources necessary to compete for championships in the SEC. Why is my total gift due by December 1? Completing your giving prior to December 31 of a given year allows you to claim all donations when filing personal income taxes for the same year. Many individuals choose to make charitable gifts in December for this reason as well.
Completing your giving prior to year-end allows us to adequately plan and communicate any necessary changes the following spring for the next football season. You may complete your pledge in full at any time prior to the deadlines. Please consult your tax advisor for more information. What happens if I don’t make my pledge by April 30 or my total gift by December 1? It is important to meet deadlines established in this membership handbook to ensure that you retain your current seats and parking. If you miss these deadlines your seats and parking will be made available to other members. This is critical to ensuring fair treatment for all members and season ticket holders and giving those who meet each deadline the opportunity to improve their seats and/or parking. What are the advantages to making 100% OF my gift by April 30? Priority points are calculated and are credited only as dollars are received. Completing your gift by April 30 means that you will get priority point credit for the entire amount of the gift which could improve your seats
10 www.GiveToAthletics.com | 662-915-7159
and or parking. Points will be calculated monthly and those totals will be used for allocation of season, post-season and away game seating and parking using the most recent point total calculation. Melissa Quartarone - Rifle Stone Mountain, Ga. Forensic Chemistry Melissa Quartarone earned National Rifle Association smallbore second team All-America honors and was also named to the GARC smallbore second team and the GARC Air Rifle second team. Quartarone earned Collegiate Rifle Coaches’Association Academic All-America honors for the second straight year. She was also named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.
Can I pay my annual fund gift in installments? You may pay your pledge over multiple payments on your credit card by providing payment information with your renewal. We will work to accommodate your request in regards to your donation schedules. Can I become an annual fund member if I don’t have season tickets? The annual fund is every Rebel fan’s opportunity to show their support for Ole Miss Athletics. Being an annual fund member, at any level, helps the department to achieve the vision of being a model intercollegiate athletics program. Annual fund memberships are the lifeblood of Ole Miss Athletics. Those dollars allow the department to provide a world-class studentathlete experience, maintain and provide ongoing facility upgrades, attract and retain great coaches and enable a national recruiting reach.
How do I qualify for a donor parking pass? You must make the required donation for the lot you desire. Members who are renewing the same parking will be auto allocated first, as long as the required donations have been made prior to the deadline. Parking will be allocated based on priority and availability. How do I retain a parking pass from the previous year? To retain your previous year’s parking pass(es), simply make your pledge and donation or donation schedule by the April 30th deadline. Your pledge form will list any parking held for the previous year. If you wish to change the location of a parking pass, please see the next question. How do I relocate a parking pass? All parking requests must be made in writing to the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation to be considered for a specific lot assignment. Make the request on your donation renewal form or in the space provided if you renew your donation online. Please be specific in your parking request.

Can I keep or improve my seats each year? Ole Miss Athletics Foundation members who make the perseat minimum contribution and meet the appropriate deadlines will have the first opportunity to renew their seats each year. During the renewal process, Ole Miss Athletics Foundation members will also have the opportunity to request a change in their seating. Requests for changes in football seating will be reviewed in order of Priority Point ranking once the allocation process begins.
provided on your renewal form and return it to the Ole Miss Athletics Ticket Office by the deadline indicated on your renewal. Do the contributions I make for football seats and parking count for my basketball seats and parking too? Football, basketball and baseball priority seating require separate contributions. The best parking for football, men’s basketball and baseball also require that you meet the minimum contribution for each sport. Do my Football, Basketball and Baseball contributions improve my Priority Points? Yes, members earn 1 point for every $100 donated to the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. This total accumulates over time so that your lifetime of giving to athletics at Ole Miss is factored into your priority point total.
How do I request an improvement or change in my seating or parking assignment? Seating and parking requests should be submitted with your season ticket renewal. Please write your request in the space 20 www.GiveToAthletics.com | 662-915-7159
Does my annual fund membership contribution include the cost of season tickets? The cost of season tickets is not included in the required per-seat contributions. Season tickets are purchased separately through the Ole Miss Athletics Ticket Office. The only exception to this is those baseball season ticket holders who participated in the PSL program. Those PSL agreements will be honored as originally stated. Do I have to be an Ole Miss Athletics Foundation member to purchase season tickets? It is not required that you join the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation in order to purchase season tickets as there are many areas of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Tad Smith Coliseum and Swayze Field that do not require a per seat contribution. However, we encourage all Rebel fans to become Ole Miss Athletics Foundation members.
Walk of champions The Grove and Ole Miss produce one of the most unique college football experiences in the South and nationwide. The Sporting News ranked it among college football’s greatest traditions and described The Grove as “the Holy Grail of tailgating sites.” In listing America’s top sports colleges, Sports Illustrated named Ole Miss the nation’s No. 1 tailgating school.
How do I relocate, purchase new or additional season Tickets? To change your season ticket allotment from the previous year, make the specific request on your ticket renewal form, or in the comments box if you renew online. While giving more than the minimum required donation per seat increases your priority to receive your request, an increase in your contribution alone DOES NOT signify a request to move. Additionally, there are no guarantees for any seating requests. All requests are filled based on availability and priority. There is no way to know exactly what donation amount is needed to obtain a specific location. It is not possible to bump a renewing member out of his or her seats. All new seating is dependent upon what seats are not renewed and where the member’s priority ranks them on the allocation list.
How do I renew season tickets? To renew your season tickets, simply make the required annual donation and season ticket payment by the deadline established in your season ticket renewal packet. Note that season ticket applications are mailed separately from the Athletics Ticket Office. 21

Your Donation at Work The past year has seen great success in competition for Ole Miss Athletics. As we build upon the momentum gained from successes in recruiting, academics and competition, your help is more important than ever. The best athletics programs in the country all have one thing in common, enthusiastic support by a loyal fan base who make a commitment to attend home events, purchase season tickets and make financial contributions to help grow the budget and give the coaches and student-athletes the very best resources with which to compete. Your call to action is to renew and increase your support for the Rebels and encourage others to do the same. Later this year, you will have opportunities to “Refer a Rebel” and help our staff identify others who can support in the same manner as you. Our goal is to grow our donor base from its current 6,700 to over 10,000 in the next few years. With everyone rallying behind the same vision of academic and athletics success for Ole Miss, we can reach this goal and consistently place Ole Miss among the nation’s elite. Join today!!
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT “My love for Ole Miss began when I came to the campus in 1960, and had the wonderful opportunity to work as a student manager for the football team under Coach Vaught. The relationships and experiences I had during my time in Oxford helped shape my life, and in the years since, many of those relationships continue. Each time I step on the campus, after fifty years of being an Ole Miss alum, it is still with great affection and appreciation for my alma mater, for the University remains an indelible part of who I am.” - TOM RICE
