SDA means homes where people with disability can live and get support.
This information helps you look after the home you live in.
It will also tell you about things that Evolve Housing must do.
How you must look after your home
You must look after your home and keep it clean.
You must look after the shared areas in the home.
Shared areas are parts of the home you use together with other people like the kitchen.
You must look after things so they do not break.
You and people who come to visit you must not break things on purpose.
You should tell us if anything needs to be fixed.
You can also tell your house manager or SIL support worker.
SIL is short for Supported Independent Living.
SIL services support you with your daily things.
They can help you tell us what needs to be fixed or they can tell us for you.
You must not put things in the way of other people in shared areas.
How we must look after the home
Evolve Housing must make sure that the home is safe.
We need to fix things that are broken fast.
We must sort out all things to do with the home.
This might be getting someone to fix things.
We must be ok with some things not looking new after a while like carpets or walls.
Rubbish
You can not leave rubbish in the shared areas.
You must put your rubbish in the council bins.
The council comes 1 day each week to pick up the rubbish.
You need to put the bins out the night before.
You need to put the bins back after council picked up the rubbish.
Your house manager or SIL support worker can help you
• Put the bins out and in
• Remember which day to do the bins.
Sometimes you might have large things you want to throw away that do not fit in the bins.
You can ask for the council to pick them up.
