• Lyne is a long-time resident of Old Ottawa South who knows first-hand the importance of customer service. Over the last 26 years she has co-founded and operated two successful Ottawa businesses that rely on a large and loyal customer base.

• Having worked in real estate since 2011 she is well known in the community for her warm and friendly approach, and for the creative approach she brings to any enterprise. As a local expert, she lives and breathes the communities in which she serves.

• Lyne’s newest endeavour brings her to Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica where she guides Canadians in purchasing vacation properties and real estate investments.

• Engel & Völkers’ new office in Playa Hermosa/Papagayo (Guanacaste) is 23 km from Liberia International Airport.

• Engel & Völkers will be expanding to several locations in Costa Rica over the next few years. Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste being the first one.

New MLS System

Have you heard, read or been told that there is no MLS in Costa Rica?

• In September 2022, a centralized system was launched. Agent collaboration and cooperation is being introduced. We expect there will be a well developed, robust MLS in Costa Rica in the near future.

Open Listings VS Exclusive Listings

• In much of Costa Rica, real estate agents use an open listing system where many different agents can list the same property, often at different prices.

• However, some brokerages are encouraging clients to list exclusively, with one brokerage only.

• No licensing for Costa Rica realtors

• Tons of "agents" there take advantage of that fact to work without any qualifications, experience or knowledge
