Ecru reflects an un-bleached, raw viewpoint through it’s relationship with the industry and the reader. Aesthetics to tell their story is mirrored through the clean-cut feel to the publication.” Ecru profiles up and coming talent within the fashion industry, ranging from designers to illustrators. Ecru’s hope is to showcase all aspects of fashion, from beginning to end, displaying process and narrative along the way. Therefore, focusing on the beauty of construction within garments, seen through illustrations, fabrics and craft. To get to the final product, Ecru delves in to fashion insiders philosophies to see their aesthetics, demonstrating the intimate
interaction which happens throughout the entire process. This is a new approach to fashion, reflected in Ecru’s title with it’s off-white theme. Garments are the main influence to Ecru, however the clothes are accompanied by models, photographers etc, therefore, we focus on the entire package of who’s next. We hope the dimension we are building in Ecru will bring our readers a fresh experience, inspiring them with a new way in consuming fashion.
