GOLF CLUB DE L’AMIRAUTÉ Designed by Bill Baker, the superb course at l’Amirauté is a unique marshland course with water hazards, wide fairways and large greens. Our opinion: A great course, normally very quiet. Favourite Hole: 3rd.

GOLF DE CAEN Caen is an interesting combination of hills and woodland which makes it particularly picturesque in the autumn. Our opinion: The location is perfect for our clients. A good course. Favourite Hole: 10th.

HOSTELLERIE DU VALLON ****** The pretty town of Trouville, a seaside resort since the 1850s, owes its continuing popularity to two things - a wonderful sandy beach and a willingness to constantly update amenities. Not least of today’s attractions is this hotel.

GOLF DU VAUDREUIL Designed by Hawtree, the fairways wind through preserved parkland where accuracy off the tee is essential Our opinion: Outstanding course in outstanding surroundings. Favourite Hole: 9th.

GOLF CLUB DU CHAMP DE BATAILLE With one of the most stunning golf holes you’re ever likely to see, the 17th, a short but fiendishly tight par three across a valley simply brimming with 100 year old rhododendrons. Our opinion: A ‘must play’ when in Normandy. Favourite Hole: 17th.

HOTEL LE PRÉ ST GERMAIN ****** Quaint Louviers is midway between Rouen and Evreux and is crisscrossed by branches of the river Eure.

GOLF NATIONAL ALBATROS Combining the traditional feel of a links with the modern features of target golf, this a perfect match-play course which was well displayed at the 2018 Ryder Cup. Our opinion: A real gem of a course, and your chance to test yourself on a true championship course. Favourite Hole: 18th.

LE GOLF PARC ROBERT HERSANT Plenty of water hazards and surrounded by many rare species of trees which, when in colour, look fantastic Our opinion: Beautifully laid-out, buggy friendly and a “must play” if in this part of Normandy. American style . Favourite Hole: 12th.

GOLF CLUB DU CHAMP DE BATAILLE This wonderful championship course is amongst the most beautiful in France and has also been compared with Wentworth and Woburn. Our opinion: Quite stunning when the rhododendrons are in bloom. Favourite Hole: 17th.

HOTEL GOLF PARC ROBERT HERSANT, LA CHAUSSÉE D’IVRY****** This charming hotel is on the edge of Le Golf Parc and offers well-equipped, modern rooms. From here it’s a pleasant walk to the clubhouse where you can enjoy excellent cuisine in the restaurant, relax in the lounge, or sit out on the terrace. All in all a great place to stay.
