Born in Venezuela and educated in the USA, Stephani Zambrano graduated as a Civil Engineer and holds a Master’s degree in Construction Project Management. She has 10 years of experience in the construction industry, from the building of Residential buildings in Venezuela to the building of commercial buildings in extreme cold weather conditions in Canada.

Stephani found herself to be one of the few women in a male-dominated industry. So, she strived to create her own opportunities, from working extremely hard in subzero conditions on Canadian shopping malls and skyscraper building sites to now settling in Marbella and currently building the most innovative luxury homes in sunny Spain with her company, Lavele Corporation.

While on holiday in Marbella, she quickly realized the potential of the area, and launched a villa project that she designed and built from beginning to end. This supercharged lady is shaking the market up with a growing portfolio of stand-out modern villas in the €5 million-plus segment in Nueva Andalucía, and a new ‘MEGA MANSION’ development project of €30 million-plus in La Zagaleta.

What advice would you give other young entrepreneurs?

“To be fearless and relentless in the pursuit of your projects, and to know that this kind of drive is what it takes to succeed. Be respectful and maintain a certain humility - you can and will learn from others throughout your life - but don’t take ‘no’ for an answer. If a certain approach doesn’t work, concentrate and find a solution. You’ve got to believe that you can make a difference, and this sense of purpose will show in everything you do and become the driving force of your business.”

How would you describe a Lavele residence?

“Lavele is a Development, Construction and Interior Design firm. We are not just a Developer. We construct our own homes and design all the interiors with custom made furniture for each of our villas, complemented with a touch of latin passion.
