What protective equipment do I wear? Executive Mat team members use personal protective equipment, or PPE, at one time or another. It is our policy to provide the right PPE to you and train you in its use. Here are some examples of PPE.

What are the safety signs around the facility? Safety signs at work communicate important information including dangers, actions that you need to take or things you need to be aware of. Here are some common signs that you may see.

What do I do if there is an emergency? The way that you act in an emergency situation is critical. Find out the emergency procedures for your work area from your supervisor, then practice them so you know them.

What do I need to know about ergonomics? Ergonomics means “fitting the workplace to the workers.� Our goal is to reduce the stress on our bodies while we work. Ergonomic injuries like strains and sprains can develop over a long time.

How do I safely use equipment and tools? Machinery, equipment and tools must be used with caution and only after you have completed the proper training. While each piece of equipment has its own rules, here are some general practices.

What if I see a danger or have an injury? Whenever you see any danger or injury, you should do what you can to correct the situation and then report it to your immediate supervisor.
