IDENTITY AND DESIGN The word ‘logo’ comes from the greek ‘logos’ which in short means one or more of the following – word, thought, principle or speech. In creating an ‘identity’ for your brand – impact on the target audience is important. Personality creation and image management is an part of the business process, simply because people are finicky and guiding them to a choice that favors you is in-itself an art. Striking an artistic balance for a commercial need is our approach to identity design.

3M CarCare A B2B brand till 4 years ago, in our nearly decade long association with 3M CarCare, we have worked with them on a variety of ATL & BTL activities. Ranging from strategic retail communication for 3M CarCare, to tactical promotions for garage owners to loyalty programs for OEM’s.

Twikster Wanting to create an e-commerce store creation platform; we advised the client to focus on the ‘creative maker space’ community based on her business targets, helping create differentiation. The brand was to appeal to a youthful, creative community.

Quest Informatics Quest Informatics is an IT services company specializing in software for heavy machinery manufacturers. ‘Engineering’ (in an IT context) is their service, ‘Heavy Machinery’ is the area they do it for and their name ‘Quest’ is suggestive of ‘Journeys’ - our concept. Given people would be engaging with the space on a daily basis, it also needed to be consistent and vibrant.

Brand Guidelines

Decathlon Launched in India in 2009, customers could buy at Decathlon only if they had a registered business. Having removed this restriction in 2012, there was a need to standardize all communication. We worked with the corporate communications teams in India and France to create a standardized way of communicating for the brand across India.

The height of the logo is 25% of the width of the logo. The space form DECATHLON to the edge of the blue box should be 25% of the entire height.

OUR LOGO THE LOGO IS THE GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION THAT IS USED TO IDENTIFY DECATHLON IN A UNIQUE AND IMMEDIATE WAY ON ALL FORMS OF COMMUNICATION. THE DECATHLON LOGO This chapter deals with the construction of the logo, the use of its colours, its breathing spaces and minimum sizes.

THE DECATHLON LOGO IS MADE UP OF A FONT THAT IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR THE BRAND, AND A PROPERLY PROPORTIONED BLUE BOX. IT IS UNCHANGING AND WORKS LIKE A SINGLE UNIT.

THE CONSTRUCTION GRILLE PRESENTED HERE IS ONLY USED WHEN THE LOGO HAS TO BE PAINTED BY HAND AND IS NEEDED FOR VERY BIG SIZE FORMATS. (EX: WALL PAINTING, FACADE etc).

CC India As part of a branding initiative by the promoters of Veneta Cuccine, ‘Kitchen Metamorphosis’ is a journey about the use of kitchen utensils over the last 2000 years across various civilizations and cultures globally Meant to be a giveaway for CCI’s clientele, and so had to be contemporary, stylish and understated.

CC India ‘Workshop’ by CCIndia is a branding initiative by the promoters of Veneta Cuccine. A quarterly 24pg magazine targeted at a niche client, this was the first edition; setting the guidelines and look for future editions to follow.

Myra School of Business A new business school founded in 2012, the Myra School of Business was up against ISB, XLRI and IIM. We took inspiration from the design of the campus itself, creating a visual language like no other - which in turn helped the school stand out distintly from the competition.

English India Clays Limited (EICL) A former ‘Thapar Group’ company, owned by Karan Thapar, the company was on an aggressive growth trajectory. ‘Brand’ was viewed as a key intervention in aligning the various people cultures across the factories in Kerala, Haryana and others being acquired in Tanzania, The Phillipines & Oman. We helped create a brand language that would be universal and consistent and help align the business and brand strategies.

We were commissioned by the Bangalore chapter to design the identity of their annual networking event - EO Connect. Siesta Hospitality Siesta Hospitality specializes in the private corporate stay space with branded properties across the country. Their existing brochure was designed at the inception of the company, 5 years ago. We were asked to design a corporate brochure that would reflect a company going ‘public’ on the stock exchange. Brochure for Siesta Hyderabad alongside as an extension of the brand language.

Soup2Nutz Solutions S2N functions as a strategic marketing arm to various companies. One such opportunity they identified was the marketing of niche market luxury properties in France and Italy. Costs ranged from â‚Ź400,000 to â‚Ź40,000,000 for various properties - and so the approach of a luxurious, visually rich lifestyle magazine.

MCo Hospital Aids The first manufacturers of surgical sutures in India., over three decades they had slipped to no.5 and were looking to reinvigorate their business strategy; with ‘brand’ playing a key role. We helped create a scalable distinction between the parent company and sub-brands, resulting in them being seen as more approachable and conveying a sense of energy imperative to align staff with the mission of No.2 by 2020.

IRA Legal A lawfirm specializing in corporate law and litigation; they needed an identity as part of the launch of the new lawfirm. ‘Ira’ means ‘earth’ in Sanskrit, is also another name for the goddess ‘Saraswati’ and the name of the ‘wind-god’ - father to lord Hanuman. Bold, Progressive and Reliable were key descriptors of the founder - ones to be reflected in the simple and bold styling of the identity.

HummingBird India HummingBird India was formerly India’s largest corporate hospitality service apartment company. Recognized by CNBC ‘Young Turks’, after 7 years they were now going to reinvent themselves in a completely new digital avatar - a first in their space. We worked closely with the founders in understanding and ultimately articulating the brand and business promise.

Coastliners Commended by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) as the most innovative logistics services provider in India for the year 2014; we were asked to create a digital presence that would serve as a benchmark for other logistics companies and set the stage for international tieups to come.

Whatsup Bangalore Whatsup Guides is a well known lifestyle listings magazine in various cities across India. We were asked to create a comprehensive portal that would help dynamically push their content on the site. We created both the front end as also a fairly complex and robust backend framework for them to be able to manage the various sections and subsections of the site as also a variety of content, be it text, image, video or social content.

Uniqreate - Oxford University One of only 200 projects from the country to be listed in the CII India Design Yearbook 2013 (for 2014), the Uniqreateplatform was built over a 2 year period and is an ongoing project. An enterprise license product, we benchmarked it against user habits around SAP and Oracle to create a UI & UX that makes understanding complex data extremely user friendly.
