“I am very humbled to receive this Award,” said Rademan. “I did not expect to be honoured for something that I have loved to do for nearly 38 years of my life. Of course, it was not easy. As we all know, all great things come with a lot of effort. I would not have been successful without the love and support of many people in my life. First of all, I would like to thank the Almighty. Then I would like to thank my wife Sarah and our children Francois and Chantel for supporting me every step of the way. I would also thank each and every person in the group as well all pensioners and stakeholders. I would also like to thank my Exco team and main board.”
AVBOB is the largest mutual assurance society in the southern hemisphere founded by HH van Roojien in the midst of the Spanish Flu in 1918. As a mutual society, it is owned by its members and all the profits the group generates are distributed in the form of bonuses and funeral benefits.
